I'm having a misfire problem during acceleration and my SES light is on. I took it to two places to get the diagnosis and they both say MAF sensor and vacuum leaks. I cannot find a vacuum leak anywhere and replaced my MAF sensor last week. I talked to another guy who was one of the auto parts stores and he said sounds like it could be the computer and that GM had a problem with the computers on the camaros and firebirds between 97-2000, is there any truth to this???

Im gettin MAF sensor, vacuum leaks, and multiple cylinder misfires....the car runs great tho, and the MAF sensor is only about 2 weeks old and im not finding any vacuum leaks and the car idles fine too

 

The multiple missfire and vac. leak codes are often set by a broken EGR... check the egr, check the place where the egr connects to the upper intake for a leak (spray TB cleaner on it and listen to see if your idle changes). Also if its not the EGR you could spray around your throttle body to intake manifold connection and see if that gasket is leaking.
