The fastest I've ever seen a V6 go was about 138 MPH with the limiter cut and it was a 3.8 giving some good RPMS... All cars are different so undoubtfully even for 3.4's some are slower and some are faster... but well over 140 MPH???... "Are you SURE thats no V8 under your hood?"... even with simple mods and good tires it's still close to impossible of pulling that off with a 3.4.

I believe the limiter is programmed into the CPU so you're going to have to get an aftermarket reprogrammer to take it out, hope this helps.

Thnx

Alright, I have the T-5 and the 5th gear does have pull, it accelerates good and sometimes if I put it into 5th before I govern I can get up faster. I can do 140+ without the governor trust me. If you could shoot me an email Oil Pan and explain it a little further about the VSS removal then I would try that out even w/o speedometer. But I'm talkin about maxing the car out and I've seen a stock LT1/LS1 go about 210 w/o governor. My 3.4 isn't stock, I have a modified exhaust, intake, and I'm about to get some other stuff like NOS. Well plus I'm gonna need to get rid of it if I'm planning on droppin my LT1 LOL. Unless you can put the LS1 VSS in my car? Thnx Soccaballa2k4@aol.com

I was going to let the 140mph in a 4 banger fly... but now I have no other choice...

Man..this is like...those ricer nightmare's i have..where some guy is at the gas station with his honda accord telling ppl "it can do 180 mph because ive seen a 911 carrera twin turbo doin 180 and I can almost hang with one for a couple of seconds"........except this is worse...Because this guy drives a Camaro, not a ricer. But this isnt any old camaro...its a V6 SS. JK man..good luck gettin your govenor removed..and have fun with your car.

Man I'm tellin you what I know, and I hate the sorry *** imports.... they can't take ****. I have my name V6SS because I bought a V6 for the chassis to drop a LT1 and do the SS Conversion with all the 02 body panels.

On a t5, the vss is on the driverside all the way on the back of the tranny. I just spliced a toggle switch into one of the wires going to it. When you turn the switch off, it kills the signal going to the pcm........You can go faster than the speed limiter with it, but the speedo doesn't work. I've had my 3.4 at 130mph next to another car.

When I had a POS 2.8L in my 85 I could do 105-110 no problem it still had some pull even at that speed.
That car felt like it was built to ride 85-90mph smooth and perfect(compaired to all other speeds) taching about 2200rpm.
D@mn those S rated tires! Even worse there still on there with the new 3.4 and crane cam and they have been sitting over a year.
I didn't want to push it, at all at those speeds.
