I am in a debate right now on another site with some guy claiming that he put on a 1LE DS and gained first, 4 MPH, but then he changed it to 6 MPH.

I told him he is full of crap...but he insists...

I just know with the LT1/LS1 platform it is a min mod...like 2rwhp..and if I remember correctly, some of you did the swap and did not get 6 mph out of it.

Just curious.

A single piece alum DS can be worth a good .1 and 1mph over the stock heavy 2 piece DS that comes in the older V6 years but definately not 4-6mph.

technically it was form an average of 88.XX, then got a 1le driveshaft, and got a best, not average of 94, so lets say he averages abotu 93mph, so thats roughly a 4.8X mph increase.

I should an average 1 mph gain going from stock 2-piece to a lt1 1 piece steel, and 3.23-->3.42s, so taller gear and increased mph.

Another thing to point out is his car is probable lighter then yours so possible he should more gains, so a mod like this would get a little bit better ETs then you. For waht its worth my car weighs 3140, with only jack and spare yanked.

Its slightly unlikely but maybe possible, its not like he is saying he ran a 14.5 with a manual fan switch.
