Ive been dating this girl with a 96 RS lately, she said it is bone stock but yet she can beat most 5.0 /4.6 stangs and even some other fast cars. I figured these were all bad drivers but yesterday when i was following her we both guned it and I only pulled one car 0-70!!! I have an EGR leak that is slowing me down. (but beat 3 mustangs this week with the leak and lost by 3 cars to a 2000Z 0-90) with this i'd have to say it is easily running mid 14s. have you ever seen this?

Makes perfect sense to me, I had the chance to run mine against 98 5.7. I keep the one car away with him till around 89-90.BUT from that point on he gained big,maybe 4-5 cars at 110.I backed out he went on.
Test drove nice 98 5.7, getting on the freeway I was looking? for the BIG difference.Couldnt hardly tell ,but I experienced the higher end,Nice.

But I beat 9 out of 10 LS-1s 0-70 when i dont have the miss. And i pull 2.00 60s on street tires (4.9 0-60 according to G-tech)
Compared to stock Lt-1 5.5 or stock LS-1 5.1 /2 your telling me a stock 96 can do both of those feats? or should i say. a hair shy of those feats? I believe she hits 30 almost as fast as me. but driving her car her second gear seemed to be a dog...

Supersix needs to get the race prepped L36 short blocks for GM,like they have for ford.I'm waiting for this,I'm mateing it w/ the heads/cam/intake package they have.ATI finishes they're Intercooled SC,and we'll be makin some horseys.

I don't think it is a freak, I just think it normal. I watched a drag race between a 95z auto with exhaust and a chip(not custom) and a 97 3.8 5 speed. The race was surprisingly close. although the z was ahead most of the race, it wasn't very far apart. But when you translate that to drag times, it makes a big difference. my 86 305 ran side by side with my buddies 89 formula 350 but in the 1/8 he turned a 9.6 and I turned a 10.3. So street racing is no way to tell actual speed. Especially with so many varibles.

 

i got a 94 3.4 and beat 94-95 5.0 stangs until 60 one had flowmaster catback and trans go shift kit auto against auto

then the 96-97 4.6 stangs is very close until 60

the 98-present stangs then i cant take em
