code reader
I bought a code reader for my 93 camaro but it won't work on my car. It says not connected but it works on my other cars. What could be the problem? This is the second code reader that won't work. I bought a cheap $40.00 one and the last one was over $200.00. What could be the problem? Thanks

Re: code reader
I got a code reader for 96 and up, but went and bought a code reader for older cars, it came with 4 different hook up wires. Still wont work, but works on my moms older car. Idk whats wrong, could it be where u plug it in is bad? Thanks

Re: code reader
It could be a bad link to the computer although there is a code for that. I would lose the reader and just fix it with a paper clip. You can actually jump two pins together in the plug and the SES light will flash a sequence to give you a two digit number. This will be your code... you can then look it up in a manual or on a website to interpret the code.
