Re: brakestands with a V6?

would it be more difficult or more harmful if you have the LSD?

my parents have an f-250 with a 460 in it and you can do great brakestands. you just can't give it too much brake because you'll wheel hop your way to hell.

Re: brakestands with a V6?

i have a 98 A4 and i have done breakstands to where you cant see anything around you, or the passanger sitting next to you in the car yah its fun but but its not very good to be breathing in the money your burning off your tires. I have had to pop the hood before after doing break stands because people just couldnt believe it was a 6. Ya its a good feeling but i dont recommend doing it too often

I've done 1 or 2 little ones over the years, it's tough to do with the 3:08 gears. I dont think it's the best thing for the rear discs and the drivetrain.

Mine were really short, once the started to spin I let off the brakes and got going.

Re: brakestands with a V6?

YOu mean its harder to do it wiht the 3:08 gears. If that is true than my stock motor is making some serious power. Well i do not have an lsd either, but still yet I have to let off of it. BTW, I have a question too, does it hur t the rear end to do brakestands?

Re: brakestands with a V6?

Eh, it's not a big deal for the rear, but it's harder on the rear brakes and tires than anything else. If you want to make smoke shows, spend the cash to get a line lock.
