Dash board conversion??

HeyI have a 1994 Camaro. I was wondering if it was at all possible to convert the dash board to the 97-02 style? If I bought a dash board from that year would it fit in my car? Would the screws line up and all? Would the gauges all work? This is probably a very random question but I was wondering if it was possible to do?

Re: Dash board conversion??

The dash boards shape was changed in 1998. Therefore this will definately not fit the prior year models. I also have a '94 camaro and the dash board starting cracking. It got worse and worse. My conclusion includes alot of time but the product turned out very nice. I removed the entire dash board (Got it out in 3 pieces) and fiberglassed the bottom side. After drying I flipped it over and used a filler and filled in every crack or line you could notice. I repeated this step 5 times until you could never tell if it was ever broken. Last I took a flat black and sprayed the top side and let dry. Now it is ready for installment. This takes alot of time but does not cost very much. yep,350L_S_1

Re: Dash board conversion??

i have a 99 firebird dash in a 94 camare any dasy from a 4th gen will fit they are all interchangable but i usally change all the wireing too not sure how you would get the gauges in but im sure with some reasearch it could be done worst case with the newer camaro dash you may need to use an older 94-96 or 97 firebird insturment cluster

Re: Dash board conversion??

Shouldn't be too hard to do. I know of plenty of thrid gens running around with 4th gen dashes, so swapping 4th gen to 4th gen should be pretty easy.
