Positraction?

Searched the forum, but not much turned up. I went out and had a friend shoot a burnout video of my Z28 today. Well, on the first take, I get going and he's on my driver's side and he says "I thought this had a posi" and I thought it did too. Was I wrong? Or is something else wrong with the car? I'm somewhat concerned. I don't burnout often. I'll spin the tires, but I've only ever done 2 brakestands. Any info would be great. If something does need to be fixed or replaced, what do you recommend and how much will it cost me?

Thanks for any info.

Re: Positraction?

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like there'd be a video attached. But no, only one wheel is spinning, and it's the passenger side one. I notice a clunking whenever I hit a bump with the car. I thought it was maybe the exhaust banging against the bottom of the car (and it may still be just that) but I noticed it a bit more today after the burnouts yesterday. Could it be something to do with my rear end?

Re: Positraction?

posi is probably just worn out, it happens. I'd change the fluid/additive and see if it helps any, but you're probably looking at a worn out posi unit.

Re: Positraction?

Had to run out to the car for my cell phone and took a quick look. Sure enough, the G80 code is there....crap. Looks like a busted or worn out posi. Oh well...
