Question 98 Whisper Lid idea???

I used to have a 2000 and did that Home Depot lid and it helped a bit. I have a 98 now and it has that angled tb. I was thinking of maybe getting some sort of dryer duct and using that instead of PVC since my tb is angled. Would it work? Any experience with that? Thanks!

Some people have done it.

The duct doesn't seal very well though, and it doesn't hold up very well (small pinholes develop in it). Usually doesn't look very good either.

Some brake ducting or turbo/supercharger ducting would look and work better. (cost is a lot more though)

Isn't flexible dryer ducting full a large ridges that allow you to bend the tubing? That would put a pretty big restriction on your airflow.
