98 Camaro 3.8 P1153 code problems, please help!
Wife's car just threw a P1153. Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching Bank 2 sensor 1
the car is stock. it does have a slight oil leak on the passenger side valve cover.
I havent driven it yet, so Im not sure how it is running. And i havent been able to climb underneath to look at anything.
Is this code a bad wire, bad sensor, or what? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Could be all the above causing the problem. If you want to diagnose it on the cheap, clear the code and swap left and right.
Remember with this code set, the PCM is in open loop. So fuel economy is now out the window. Would be a good idea to replace the plugs after fixing the problem.

to help out anyone else on down the road that might see this,
replaced the passenger side upstream 02 sensor. You will definately need a 02 sensor socket. It took about 25 minutes for me to do. I started the car back up after having the battery unhooked for 15 minutes. Check Engine light remained on, but the car drove perfectly. After about 30 miles, light went off (before I had a chance to check the code or have it cleared). No problems now.
