3.8l Camaro

Hey everyone, I am starting to look for another car, to replace the 3.4l. I was wondering what years to look for a 3.8l manual t-top Camaro/Firebird. Does the performance vary from year to year, anything from the engines change from year to year etc.. Any common problems and such. What to look out for when looking at one. What can I expect to pay for each year and condition etc.. Basically a small book report on a 3.8l F-body. I want it to be manual too, I am done with automatic cars for now. Thanks for any help.

Not sure the year they switched to tubular manifolds but 2000s have them...

other then that with a 5-speed, just get one with stuff you want

my 2000 does have a Drive by wire, electric throttle body, at first I noticed alot of lag but its not so bad anymore, I just have gotten more and more used to it.

3.8's Were available in late 95 (CA cars) and up. I had a 96 5 speed and loved it. great gas mileage and pretty quick also. in 98 they went to the new hood/headlight style. as far as performance goes, I think that all 3.8's are equal across the board, at least not noticeable power differences.
