I have a '91 RS with the 3.1 engine. I want to change the plug wire at the front on the passenger side. Can anyone give me a hint how to get to it. It is buried behind emissions stuff and a bracket for the alternator. I can barely get a finger on it! Thanks for any assistance.

Seeing as when I was going to pull mine off and replace it, I was not all that worried about the condition it was going to be in when it was off. Seeing that I really didnt want to have to worry about taking a bracket off or even as far as the alternator for one plug/wire=, I had my fiance, which has small hands, reach in to get the top of the boot while I had needle nose pliers to pull from the base of the boot. After this I just had to go back in and get the metal connector that separated from plug, which was easy after that.

If there is any easier way, I am really interested in knowing what it may be.

 

Were you able to get the wire off of the #1 plug?
