Re: 2 problems:

before I took it to the shop, I did a compression test, #1 cylinder showed 180psi, then I took it to the shop, they said #1 only had 80psi.
I get the POS home and #1 cylinder shows 180psi!!! WTF!!! my oil must be making some kind of fake sealing action or something crazy!

OH well, I'm just about to take off my heads, got the rockers off, no more sun though.
Shouldnt I take my heads to some kind of machine shop to get them to do some warpage testing or something??

Re: 2 problems:

That would be a good idea. I'd also de-bur them, port and polish, and get some new rockers while your heads are off! Then, while the intake is off, get it ported and polished. that one you can do yourself though. If you have a deremel, you can get a port/polish kit for like 30 bucks i think. I'd all be worth a good 20-30 hp or more if you do the rockers! If you've got the 3.4L you'll have 2 intakes to work on (upper and lower), i dont know much about the 3800 though.

Re: 2 problems:

yeah the 3800 has both upper and lower intakes, i dont think i'd gain that much hp though, unless I had other major mods

Re: 2 problems:

I dont know dude, some people overbore those and re-do the internals + a supercharger and they get some sick 1/4's. I know on the 3.4 P&P heads/intake with rockers is worth a dyno proved 38hp. Theres a place that does stuff specifically for these engines lemmie get the link. I'll post in a min or two.

Re: 2 problems:

http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/ Hell it might be a good idea to just buy their upgraded head package and core exchange yours! that way you'd get a "fresh" set of heads and your engine would be cranking out a few extra horses. Those 3800's have alot of potential.

Re: 2 problems:

I know, sexy arent they! You ought to at least call them and talk to them about your problem. Really it wouldnt hurt, and you can always act like you've got a killer budget and see what they say they can squeeze out of your engine. They have a 10-second V6 mustang on there... Maybe you could be the 10 second V6... oooooooh!

Re: 2 problems:

haha not mocking at all, but now that i read what i wrote i could see how... lol I just meant someone needs to break this barrier soon. we need YOU to do it! lol. god... twin turbos would be sick... I'd think a couple garrett t4's would do the trick with stock impellers. aaaaaah that'd look awesome under the hood... People'd be saying WOAH! what did YOU DO!?
