1994 3.4L fuel pump

My car needs a new fuel pump. I'm having an extremely hard time starting the car and a fuel pressure test a couple years ago showed that the pump was not holding pressure during start up. The car has 249,000 miles and I figure the pump has just about given out. Car runs fine after it starts up however. My question is should I replace the pump with a factory unit or do they make an better aftermarket unit for the 3.4L V6's?

I'd just go with an OEM replacement. Definitely don't go with one of those cheapos. That's one of those cases where you get what you paid for. The PITA is gonna be actually replacing it cause you gotta drop the fuel tank and everything.

Yeah I'm going to replace all of the suspension bushings so I'll be dropping the rear anyways. I figure that will be a good time to replace it. I found one at O'Reily Auto Parts for $181.00. I will check Napa next.

Napa will be a lot higher most likely but at the same time every part I've gotten from them has been top notch quality. And sounds like a plan since you'll have the rear dropped anyway. It always helps to get all those done at the same time. I need to replace a lot of suspension components on my 87 Camaro
