Realistically, a stock eclipse or civic Si can outhandle a stock z28 or trans-am. Now with the right suspension upgrades, an fbody can hit mid-high .90's on the skidpad. Around the area of a stock corvette. LOL They are very much optimized for straight line, but they CAN take turns too---- that's what a steering wheel is for.
That's funny, because both of those cars are in slower stock classes than the F-body in SCCA Solo II.

If A civic SI outhandles my car , Ill kiss your *** . Have you ever driven one ? there is nothing spectaculare about them .
And an f-body has no chance at all in the twisties with a vette .
A f-bod pulls a .85 , maybe . while a vette pulls between a .97-1.02 They handle like a true supercar .
A mitsu eclipse "GT's " Handle slightly better then a F-bod .

BTW , nice kill man . I took a 95 C4 in my camaro . Guy was also acting like a prcik twoards me . Way to show'em

All you guys have to do is get a hold of one of the wine and cheese rags and look up the skidpad and slalom #s of the Z28, Civic Si etc. and see which ones handle better.

Hehe i wish someone would post that video of a guy on a road course with lightly modded supspension and engine mods eating up m3's, C5's, and on the *** of a viper. I think of that video everytime someone says an Fbody cant handle well even with supspension upgrades I believe it was at road Atlanta.

Yeah , I rode shotgun in an irocZ one time that felt like a damn porsche . That thing scared me to death , but never broke traction one bit . Was a crazy good handling car . Had a few suspension upgrades .

I found a web site on the net showing a civic pulling .82 . Thats about the equivalent of a SS Impala .

Iroc z , 89-90 , .90
97 GT .81
99 GT .87
99 Cobra .84
93 TA .86
99 TA .89
99 SS .87
96Z28 .87
94Z28 .86

300Z TT .95
It dont show the early 90's DSM cars , But I think nthey pull low .90's
It shows the 98 Eclipse as a .80

Here are some guidlines .

Everyone has this idea that Fbods dont handle. Have you ever taken your car to the turns? Seriously, I went into some twisties with a vette with my stock Z, i kept up pretty good, maybe about 5 cars back, but hes in a vette. I think people that say Fbodies cant handle just cant drive. Sorry, but im sick of people stereotyping Fbods.
