ha, this whole thread has got to be a joke, some of you actually think that mustangs, are faster than camaro's, Ill end with this, show me one year, that a mustang with an engine displacment that is comparable with a camaro has been faster.................nothing? Figured so.

You need to educate yourself on Mustangs a little more. You do know we dont all have 5.0s anymore right? Just lil ole 4.6 engines.

I want you to think about something real hard now.
My Mach 1 as of Yesterday at the track with just gears and slicks run a 7.94 @ 85 mph in the 1/8th. If you know your track times then tell me honestly that you still think mustangs...er mudstains are slow?

 

I don't think they are slow, but most of them that I run across, unless super modded, aren't as fast as mine.

 

Educate my self eh? How does engine tech a ford dealership sound, i work on em all day long bud, behind enemy lines if you will. And if i recall correctly I beleive it was an Lt1 the original poster had. which is a good 5 years (atleast) older technology. And he only lost because he missed a gear, as far as the legendary 5.O' yeah its been replaced by the 4.6 but atleast the 4.6 has got some *****. OK, whats next, how bout a comparison 4.6 to 4.8, Id be willling to bet that a well prepaired 4.8 say ls1 style would **** all over a 4.6. Finally if you think, your car could beat mine in a 1/4...........tell me where and when

Well let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have owned and still own...just dont keep em in the sig, more LT1s and LS1s than you can shake a stick at. I recently sold my low 10 second LS1 to a guy locally who wanted a trailer car. Not saying that my Mach is faster than anything you own...never did. However its no joke as you put it. In fact it is my first car in the 7s in the 1/8th mile with just a couple bolt ons. You can spout off whatever you want as it does not mean anything to me. Im at the track most thursday nights TNT and every other Sunday racing in brackets so I see your bragging kind come and go usually with a high 8 second slip...lol
Just ask anyone on this site about my cars just so you know Im not some FORD guy hanging out on a GM site to catch an arguement.

Since you have H/C done to the LT1 I would hope it would beat a lowly Mach 1 with only gears and flowmasters.

 

i really dont want to spend the time going back and forth, i havent run a 1/4 with my current set up, but with 10 year older tech, i hink h/c would even the playing field

i witnessed a stock SS trap 110 mph at raceway park. He even had his hood popped and i talked with him a lil while. Besides my bone stock trap speed in my heavy *** vert was 109, i sure as hell hope someone can top that!
