SRT-4 in the hands of a real driver
Re: SRT-4 in the hands of a real driver
I've seen LS1's run better than 12.8@104 with a couple of mods. There are bolt on LS1's in the 11's and don't forget Evan smith went 12.8@107 in a bone stock '98 Z28. So with 2 equal drivers LS1's still have the edge. Dont get me wrong I'm getting either a SRT4 or a hemi ram pick up for a winter beater after my T/A is paid off.

3500lbs pulled by 5.7L = 614lbs to pull per liter
2900lbs pulled by 2.4L = 1208lbs per liter
The car isnt light in no way shape or form for a 2.4L motor to pull around

A better comparison is engine output vs weight for either case.
