Re: Ran a fox at the track

I will have to run down there sometime, I'm moving to Elkton, MD at the end of the month. Unfortunately I am selling the Mustang, but the Mark VIII will be my new toy to screw around with.

Hey Dude! Wish I could say it's just about where I want it but it's not close. When I post up my 10 second timeslip, then I'll say I'm where I want to be

Yes I remember back then... seems like forever ago, huh?

You're more then welcomed to stop by new house if you want to go out on the boat for some fishing and/or if you just want to cook up some burgers / steaks on the grill

Too much time and money to sell that thing for the 13-14k asking price Tim was asking...check the vid out, thing gets out there nice...Car will be scary once his traction issues are rectified. Think he said his best short time was a 2.2 on those runs.

you rarely get back if ever what you put into a car.

you just have to decide when its enough.

Re: Ran a fox at the track

****, isnt that the truth...Im seriously considering picking up a clean fox bod and get building. LT1's are cheap but a big pita to work on. Family friend in Browns Mills is a 5.0 guru and I could get any work I cant do myself for free there (he also just finished his own 408 fox bod that he ran a 11.8 @ atco last week na)..Plus it seems like theres one on every block in this howell/freehold/jackson area and a majority have some good work done already , are clean along w/ being dirt cheap..Sure i could go out and pick up a new performance car, but for something Ill be using a majority of the time as a weekend/track car I certainly dont need another car payment, So I could also understand if Tim stayed w/ the 98 for that reason also. i dont want a trailor queen but Ill never use the same car as my daily driver/track car...learned my lesson w/ that stuff

Best short time was a 1.8 but need to get my 2 step worked out and on the transbrake will be fun with some boost. Also found a few things in the tune that I've worked on. Timing was way too little down low and I had to remedy that -- if you watch the video the car is very sluggish from the start and doesn't really get moving until around the 60 foot mark. Can't wait to make a pass in November with tuning issues fixed.

Re: Ran a fox at the track

hehe, was talkin to a buddy right before I posted that who recently ran his fox at atco and the best 60 he could muster was a 2.2...guess it got stuck in my head...I remember you sayings 1.8's...Cant wait to see it run one you get the glitches taken care of. Hoping to have something up and running by next season myself...More then likely gonna be a fox, cant really afford much more w/ a recent divorce and just starting a new job. Dont want no ragged out trailor queen though...Probably gonna look for a clean GT, throw some Newer stang wheels on it (cobra r's,bullets, etc, and some fresh paint. Want something I can enjoy at the track along w/ weekend/nice weather days.

Scott,
Come on down dude. We have plenty of room if you want to hang out and spend the night. Glen Burnie is known for the quick cars. It's not uncommon to have 600+hp cars around here in various lots, car shows, etc. I actually have one of the slowest and it's very sad.

Unfortunately all I have is the Mark VIII, I sold the Mustang before I came here, and the slow luxo barge is all the V-8 power I have left
