Most guys are averaging mid 13's with the 04. 13.1 being the fastest. Check out LS1gto.com, everyone's in the mid 13's. The 05 has 50 more hp, which should make it .5 sec. quicker.

that's cool, i know on ls2gto.com that the 05 guys weren't running anywhere near what pontiac listed performance wise, and in a couple magazine build ups the baseline 05s were in the mid 13 sec range....i'll go check out ls1gto.com...i find it hard to believe an 04 hits 13.1 off the showroom floor, but i've been wrong before

 

13.1 is the stock 6 spd. record, not the norm. Average is about 13.5@104 for the M6 from what I'm seeing.

Also, the GTO is a tough car to get a great ET with stock because it has wheel hop issues and a lot of torque management programmed in....it wouldn't surprise me if the 05's weren't et'ing much better than the 04's.....but they should be getting better mph.

yeah, i read the ls2 vettes have the same problems with the tm......they feel(have the power to be) way faster, but aren't because the trans won't let them.....
