Me-vs-425 Hp 300c Hemi Dodge--SRT-8

Well...Im driving down the freeway and this guy pulls beside me already going quite a bit faster then I am ...He guns it and holds on it..It took me at least a full second to realize I was gonna race him so after he already had a hefty lead I threw it down in third and gunned it. As I hit forth I had to let up on the gas cause I was gaingin on him to fast and was very close to his rear. He slowed down and gave me a thumbs up and nodded.
Thing moved pretty well for a luxery car.

A few days ago I raced an 03 Cobra and pulled him fairly good as well. We went from a roll 3 times and I pulled him every time.

She's a beast....

Unless it was an SRT-8, which I highly doubt, the 300C is rated at 345 HP.

I dont think so. The SRT-8 ran exactly what I was running in my LS1 stock. I dont think I could have taken an 05 GTO is the LS1 while it was still stock. I think people will be running 12's at your local track this year stock to the paper filter.
The SRT-8 is 10k more. Nice Azz cars though! I'm torn between the 300C SRT-8 and the CTS-V.

I haven't seen one here around Chicago yet, and I know they haven't been out for long, so I was surprised you ran into one already. Nice kill!

SRT-8 by all means. I don't hear to much good about Cadillac. No 300Cs have been back at my dealer for work yet either so it shows they aren't total junk.

Although I love the way the 300c Looks.. its still a Mopar POS. Ive got good money that the engine/drivetrain .. most mechanical aspects will be toast by the time 80k miles hits the clock.

All of their other cars crap out at 80k.. what evidence is there that they have changed??

I just wish they didnt look so damn cool..

that must be why dcx recalls half as many vehicles per 1000 than gm.....you can't compare actuall costs because the dcx warranty is over twice as long......the hemi has been a top ten World engine since it's inception and the transmission is one of the perks of the mercedes merger......i've own both gm and dcx vehicles and have had problems with all of them, **** happens...

Re: Me-vs-425 Hp 300c Hemi Dodge

I have seen 2 here already. I live about 15 miles from a very wealthy area. The new Vettes and Mustangs are already everywhere as well. When I say everywhere I mean Infestation.
As far as quality Id say the 300C is top notch. Its more of a Mercedes then anything.
But the CTS-V looks meaner and handles way better while running exact quarter times.

I would like to have either/or....Both are sharp.

Where'd you hear that? 13.2 is about average for the 05 GTO.

naw, most guys are running mid 13's........i did read a thread on ls2gto.com that a guy with drs at sea level got below 13.1, but that's the exception rather than the rule....definetely not a full second slower than the srt8 though.....
