Hemi lt1? & I have a spare tire?

Would a hemi lt1 be possible with just a change of manifold and heads? if not what would you need and it would be awsome if you could include a possible cost range and your opinion on cost/benefit would be appreciated as well.

got stuck at an airport security car checkpoint for half an hour because they wanted to see my "spare tire compartment" which they assumed i had since there is that large raised area of the hatch behind the back seat where it goes -----\_l is there a spare tire kit in there? if so how do i get into it? if not why is that large raised area there? thanks in advance! also!!! i have the 95 formula 10 speaker cd sound system... to date i've only been able to find 8 speakers lol where are those other 2? i assume they are subwoofers because of the base my sound system has... are they hidden in the side pastic of the hatch area or something? shed some light?

Since a 'hemi' IS a 'hemispherical combustion chamber'[as in part of the 'head'] you won't do it w/o changing heads...lol
[None avail that I know of anyway?...]
That hump is where the rear, and fuel tank, are?
The spare tire is inside the psgr side rear [when you open the hatch] interior panel [ the one that 'screws off with a coin']
Not familiar with the 10 spkr stereo I got Bose..

How about the 32 valve Dominion heads? Are they hemispherical? Where is Unstable Bob Gable when you need him.

HEMI ??? just a mopar term used by dodge for their hemispherical combustion ports in their late 60's early 70's heads( no match for factory #744 pontiac ram air IV heads) as for your question about the spare tire hump in the trunk it is the provision for the f-bodys tightly squeezed fuel tank. to date i have yet to see more than an 8-speaker system in a 4th gen f- body(factory)

well thanks for the info... i've done some reading on the sound system.. and the owners manual says 10 speaker... however... for the 2 speakers next to the backseat it says "with amplifiers" would that count as the extra 2 ya think?

The Pontiac 10 speaker system had tweeters and midrange in the front (that's 4), subwoofers in the sail panels by the back seats (2 more) and tweeters and midranges in each side of the rear (4 more). Total 10.
