Re: LT1 vs LS1

All this video proves is that the "crappy little LT1" can spank the newer LS1's with nothing more than exhaust and a good driver.

Good job representing the LT1 camp

Never underestimate the LT1 Fbody's. They're still one of the best platforms out there to modify. LS what ???

im about half way threw the video..to me..looks like you jump the gun both times in the race? not doubting your car and what not. but the mustang wouldve still lost but not by much..stock gears kill those mod cars. and the ls1 didnt even start to downshift till you were like a car ahead..

Re: LT1 vs LS1

i dont get what you mean by the LS1 didnt start to downshift. we raced from a stop. no downshifting neccessary. he did not launch it very well but i still pull away until about 80-90. and the mustang, i didnt jump the gun. you can see his front suspension strech out when he hits it. i just pull away really fast. maybe because he didnt powershift but ****, thats his fault.

Re: LT1 vs LS1

oh sorry..didnt know that was a dead stop..more props to yah
but what i noticed in the mustang race is. i saw you floor it then i saw his head move back.. but maybe its just me..what gears do you have in your rear? i used to get spanked from a roll in my car in the sig agains my brothers 99 gt with 410s and exhasut. but his car is kinda a freak. 282 rwhp and 299 rwtq w/o lifting a calve cover and no power adder..thats really not normal though lol..

Re: LT1 vs LS1

ive got stock gears(as far as i know) havent pulled the diff. cover since ive owned the car but she cruises at 80mph at just under 2k rpms according to the tach. (which i think is supposed to be about 200 rpms off or something like that). i ran a 13.94 @ 101 when i first got the car and it only had a flowmaster muffler on it.

Re: LT1 vs LS1

thats a strong unner time for stock .
yea the poopstang should run like a 13.9-14.4 area stock and that catback probally hurt his weak downlow power. which its already handicapped in.
and the lsjuan should be in the 13.5-14.0 area.. so everthing seems to balance out.. cood kill and keep the lt1 power going!
long live lt1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
