streetfire.net killed my sound when they compressed the vid so it kinda sounds bad.

That's about right. Your about equal in HP and his having an auto with stock torque converter hurt him from a low speed roll. He would have been much better off racing you from either a dig or a 60-70 mph high speed roll so he could either take advantage of the automatic or the high rpm torque.

Good kills.

Great video, thats about how I pulled on a stock A4 04 GTO from a slow roll, with the same mods plus CAI. Keep ahead of them both on mods

Like that's an accomplishment. GTO's are friggin dogs. Err I mean pigs

J/K

But saying that was a great video is a stretch. Personally I think the cameraman should have been fired.

yea definately wasnt the greatest quality (especially sound)but like i said it was compressed a lot so the site could host it. that was my first video ive ever done and i didnt have the greatest filming equipment. but im making excuses. if you are really interested in seeing the real version hit me up on AIM, my s/n is sccrkd2222

that LS1 is about to become full bolt on and maybe spray and ill be able to compare the differences. but i thought it was a good run. i didnt think that an almost stock lt1 could spank an LS1 that bad down low, even considering the trannys

Great video in the aspect of its proof that LT1's can occasionally beat LS1's. I wish I had money for a digital camcorder, but then its a matter of racing and holding the damn thing.

I dont think they are that terrible. I give GTO's much respect and not just for the sheer HP/TQ numbers they put down. The only thing that keeps me from considering getting one is the looks.

Re: LT1 vs LS1

Yeah, I wasn't too enamored with it's looks at first either, but it's really grown on me. From the front and back the stance is really low and aggressive, plus it's a really rare car. However, you gotta get the right color. In silver or red it's pretty blah....and the stupid front grill just screams Pontiac.

Re: LT1 vs LS1

So with just full exhaust and your driving skills, you beat an A4 LS1... beleivable. I took an 01 or so Z28, A4, had SLP MAF sensor, SLP Lid, SLP LM, SLP LT's, SLP ORY, hell, it had SLP everything... I have the mods in my sig, we ran a good 3 or 4 times and I pulled him a good a car/car and a half every single time to about 85 or 90... I have an M6 as well. Must be something about the A4's

Re: LT1 vs LS1

I raced a bone stock 00 trans am ws6 (auto) and had about the same results. I had full bolt on's at the time and we went from a 30 or so roll and I pulled about 4 car's on him up to around 90-100 and then let off. We have it taped just my buddy is too lazy to send it to me.
