Skillz,
Sorry you feel Im calling bs.
Bs means I would be calling you a liar..which Im not.
By all rights he should have pulled on you top end...but didnt. Thats the way I feel. Please stop trying to poke for an arguement as you feel your LT1 is faster. Congrats on the kill.

Nothing can beat the LS1!
Anything can happen when two cars line up. That's what makes racing exciting. Good race!

No ones calling you a bs'r, its just highly unlikely w/ even drivers that you wouldnt get yanked hard by a c5 w/ a bolt on LT1 let alone a shorty header car...but like he said anything can happen on the street.

Good kill. Anything can happen on the street. When my old LT1 with SLP shorties, CAI, 4.10s and Borla was running 13.6 @ 104, I pulled a C5 on the freeway from 80-120. I put ~ 1 car on him. Should I have pulled him at those speeds? Theoretically, no...but it happened. Anytime you post kills like this, you will get grief. Don't worry about it.

At highway speeds, it's real important to catch the right gear. You're probably right...that guy may have had an auto, or he just didn't pick the right gear if he had a 6-speed.

I've run my buddy's 6-speed '97 Z28 on the highway, and I absolutely walked all over it ... took off like he was standing still, and that was from ~80+. That same car ran 13.7 @ 100 mph on the same day I ran 13.02 @ 107, just for an "accurate" comparison. Also, I know he was running from a good gear on the highway.

I remember getting completely smoked by an '03 Cobra though, a couple years ago when I had 3.73's in my car ... the guy came from behind me, "sling-shotted" past me, so I punched it as he was going around, but because of the 3.73's, I hadn't nailed all the downshift points yet, so I was stuck in 4th (OD) and he took off from me like I was standing still!?

.....these things happen on the street ... good run .
