What up guys i am on my lunch break so i dont really have that much time to descirbe this in detail but here it goes....
On the way to work i get on my onramp and notice the orange glow from a vette.... like a minute later i notice hes in my blind spot and then he opens it up right by me....I was like "Ok, i'll try" and then i get behind him and we are both goin about 85 (im in 4th, ready for action) and i move out to an open lane and got next to him, well just as i pull next to him we both got on it, I pulled him like 1anda half - 2 cars instanly and hold it tll 115
I was so happy but he wanted another go, so from the same speed we both hit it again and same thing happened except we went to 145 and i was able to see him in my rear veiw mirror.
he drives by after we slow down and give me an "extatic" thumbs up, that was bad ***
I dont bs guys i know ill be called for it though, im guessin this guy was an auto but it couldnt have mattered THAT much right?

 

yea pretty rare for a bolt on LT1 to pull a LS1 at those speeds, let alone 2 cars...Good Kill

When I had my slightly bolt on LS1 TA a stock C5 pulled me handily. Dont know how you did it in an LT1 bro.
By all rights he should have put 5 cars on you at 120+ mph.

ive stayed even with two, and lost to one pretty badly,

i lost down hill to one,
i raced one for about a little less than an 8th mile and stayed mostly ahead
and i raced one and stayed even up a hill

 

not always true. one member on here, spinner i think his name is, runs a 11.9 in a lt1. i wouldnt even think of talking trash to a someone like that. i have a ls1 but like many others on here are willing to admit defeat. lt1/ls1 owners alike do not like to admit defeat if we lose to a 4 cylinder like a srt-4. good kill

 

well its not bs.....maybe your TA is in dire need of a tune up or somthing, ive also killed (beat badly) a 01 ls1 6-spd maro with exhaust (he thought i had a cam when we were talking after, and took a 00 ss....so i know im in that range now

umm that is calling bs exactly, you cant call bs and then say "im not calling bs" ....and if u got nothing nice to say then y say anything? (ready for battle .....)

 

He also said "anything can happen on the street" so it's possible the guy was toying with you, had a problem or something else you know? There really isn't much of a chance an LT1 car is going to touch a C5 though...not without a cam at least.

 

Not sure what folks C5's and bolt on LT1's run in your area but from what I have seen C5's arent all that invincible. At the track I saw a catback and lid A4 LS1 Z/28 running 13.4's and stock A4 C5 running a bit slower 13.5's. Although I want to make it clear that I am aware many LS1 powered cars run much better times. A bolt on LT1 is fully capable of mid to low 13's time slips, with a few hanging out in the high to mid 12's with hard work. With his M6 being a bit better in the higher speeds than an Auto I wouldnt call BS at all. Even if the LS1 should be pulling harder up there. Of course this wasnt a 1/4 mile, but just for reference you know.
