LS1 Vs BMW Sedan (E34 540i)

Nope, that link is better. If you look back at your first link, you'll note that the bulk of the URL (not just the displayed text, but the actual link URL) has been replaced by "...". You might want to go back and edit your first post.
Here are the MPH numbers for each gear at 6000 rpm with stock 3.42:1 gears:
1st: 50
2nd: 75
3rd: 103
4th: 134
5th: 181
6th: 267
(note: a stock LS1 doesn't have enough power to get to redline in 5th or 6th)
3.73:1 gears:
1st: 46
2nd: 69
3rd: 94
4th: 123
5th: 166
6th: 245
4.10:1 gears:
1st: 42
2nd: 63
3rd: 86
4th: 112
5th: 151
6th: 223
So, it sounds to me like you have 4.10 gears. Put it in your sig!
Oh, and now that I have watched (and listened to) your video, I just want to comment that you need to shift faster when you're racing.

bastard.
When I get my hurst. hmm. where are the top RPM calculated on that list?
6k?

My car came stock with the Hurst shifter, so I forget sometimes that lots of M6 cars are semi-difficult to shift.

The 745 has just the base engine 325hp...I know if it was a 750/760 I would have been toast. I guess most people in my area can barely afford the 700 series, cause all I have seen is the 745's.

I guess I need someone with me to tell me when I'm shifting I'm sure.
I prefer the 3.73s.... But I can't tell.
I like driving the 760Li that's around here. It's comfy, and manual mode is fun,

Dude I still can't get over your sn. That's so badass

I raced a 325 a few years back... Completley destroyed the guy, and i was 99% stock back then too (K&N Filter only). I let him get the jump, by a good car length too, you should have seen the look on his face when the A4 shifted squeeling into 2nd (already in front of him).

I am surprised he was as close as you said he was. My buddy has a 96 540 and we took a 95 Formula in on trade. From a dead stop the Formula was out of sight by the time the BMW hit 60mph. On a rolling start from about 50 up, the Formula was 10 to 20 cars out by 80. Both automatic cars.
We bought an 91 Infiniti Q45 with a tranny that was just about shot and the 540 could barely beat it. The tranny was shifting til that night but we had to drive it home backwards after a couple 13mph runs. The 5 series of that vintage is powerful for what it is, but it is no speed demon. Just a nice powerful comfortable sedan.

Re: LS1 Vs BMW Sedan (E34 540i)
The 540i is a little heavier than the LT1 Fbody. So a M6 LT1 with 275/285 hp in my opinion would take a 540i by a tenth or two.
A SS or WS6 305hp LT1 would win by a 3-4 tenths.
A LS1 would ... well no contest . I kill them in my LT1 Firehawk 5 lengths or more.
BMW 540i very nice sedan, but its no fbody and should not even try to compete. The look on the Bimmer drivers face when I go buy them in my 20 year old Firehawk is priceless. The always tell me I am number one with the finger.
