lemme just say WOW!!!!
truth be told the only reason why the Cobra lost is because he couldnt hook
As far as him having a chance against me... i looked all through the car engine, interior, every thing it was really nice(blower looked intimidating
) and he was a kewl guy, but i would have had him by a mile especially considering i was running DRs and he had the tires that came on the car when it was new
I will say though he made up the two car jump pretty quickly... just not quite quick enough though
BTW: I got somethin special for scamers wink wink

Cobra's are pretty fast, but their overrated and too much $$$ for a Ford
Plus Stangs are ugly

Just a FYI... LTx ftw...
Besides, weight reduction, gears, and bolt-ons can get us into the 12s. Just have to have the all important driver mod.
Hey now! I do agree there are quite a few people who make the Mustang crowd look pretty lame but on any board with a bunch of gear heads we know the pecking order. We just let out big brother (Cobra) beat you LS1 boys up.

Anything can happen on the street.
'03-'04 Cobra's are definately the faster car in this situation, but are also hard to get to hook up. My buddy with an '04 always complains about this, but I think a good portion of it is his lack of driving skills.

The Cobra was NEVER meant to race the vette. It was meant to beat the Camaro.
So a car that can be bought from 19k to 23k with low miles is overpriced right now? Besides the Cobra is a MUCH MUCH better starting platform as the block is bullet proof and the internals are good reliably to over 600rwhp.
Also the launch plague is going to hit the new Camaro owners too. It is called independent rear suspension!
It is hilarious how the lt1 guys hate so hard on the GT guys. The cars are damn good races for each other stock for stock. And once modding begins all bets are off.

Thats cause GT's lack some of the bottom end and midrange torque so they dont "feel" as fast. So people dont give them credit. Im the first to say, Yea their pretty quick. But they sure as hell dont feel as fast as they are, and their not as fun to drive as a torquey car that can hold its own through the entire RPM range. And there is no argueing that an LT1 feels like a tq. monster down low compared to the 4.6 Dont believe me, drive both cars as much as I have ... They might be a close race once the 4.6 starts building RPM's but downlow, where people drive 95% of the time ...
That is why anyone that is intelligent buys gears for these cars. Mustang owners usually go much higher than f-body owners with "streetable" gears. I have 4.30s waiting to go in.
Besides if you need some RPM to get torque, its as easy as dropping a gear in a manual. Even now I cannot get traction in first or second and I am bolt-on, albeit a rather stout bolt-on but still. The car hauls after 3300 or so but it is no slouch at any RPM in first or second.
