Have you ever heard of, you get what you pay for? Dodge has never and will never hold it's value.

The SS is also an extended cab with all wheel drive (heavy). There's your price and performance difference. I don't personally have anything against the wannabe Hemi, it's a great engine. It's just that Dodge seems to build their trucks like crap. Better than they ever have, but nonetheless like crap.

Also, if that Dodge has a HEMI, then so does my 80' Toyota 4x4. (22R) I guess I should go get some HEMI badges for my Toyota.

 

At more than half the specs listed on that page - especially the most significant one. Price.

If you can't see the value in the HEMI 1500 WORK trucks as far as performance goes your an idiot....I guess on this board your a loser unless your powered by an LS1 or supercharged Furd motor.....I could have bought a GM truck...they don't even compare to my Dodge....talk all you want but any work truck that goes up against a SB RC 2WD 1500 HEMI (stock for stock) is gonna see Dodge tail lights.

If you want a work truck...get a diesel.

The Hemi marketed as something that is fast. It is not. The commercials are retarded.

Dodge, GM, Ford...they make good trucks...each have crap that goes wrong with them.

My supercharged "Furd" is as fast as your "Dudge" is in the 1/4...in the 1/8. I call Hemi's and SS's "little snacks".

My Lightning my daily driver, I use to haul crap all the time (heck, last week I was at the scarpyard getting rid of bunch of junk)...and it will be my tow truck come next year.

 

I just went and read the specs again on that page and there is only 3 things I see that the Dodge was in the clear, the 5 speed auto, better fuel mileage, and the price. But you also only get half the truck at that price. For the extra 13K for the SS you get AWD vs 2wd, extended cab, leather + who knows what. Being only 2wd I would have hoped the fuel mileage was better than the chev than that.

Maybe you can point out which half of the specs I misread?

Not to mention the 6.0L makes more HP and more TQ at lower rpm's than the Snodge

 

Calm down now I said "good kill" or something similar in my first post and went on to question Threxx. I don't think anyone here missed the value in a SB RC 2WD 1500 HEMI but I can name a few that will beat its tailights
