just curious...

Has anyone gotten to run a 2011 or newer 5.0 mustang? My brother has one and is challenging me to a race. Motor trend says its capable of high 12s in stock trim but that's with an experienced driver. What have you guys seen?

I've seen low 13s @ 108 ish, but I'm sure others have run faster. Should be a close race with your LT4 'vette. Your '96 SS would get walked hard.

I have seen 12.7s at Cecil
Your Vette should be able to give a good run to one.

Cars move out for sure, no doubt a 12 second slip w/ the right driver

I've seen a lot of 13.2-13.6 @ 106-108. Traction and launching is always an issue with stock cars. They are easily capable of 12's with the right driver and conditions but low to mid 13's is very common with average drivers, average tracks and average weather.

I saw 95 LT1 TA with headers and tune barely edge out a new SS Camaro at the 1/4 mile track. The LT1 ran 13.55 @103 mph and the new SS ran 13.60@106 mph. The LT1 jumped out of the hole compared to the camaro SS and got a good lead, the camaro SS played catch up.
