I don't think Steve's car was a 4.6. I think I know the car he's talking about.

Cody-I'm not looking to start an e-fight, but you have to give SOME mustangs credit, there are fast ones, and tehre are raggedy slow ones...same goes for f-bodies, supra's, corvettes, etc.

 

i dont' do e-fights either man....just stating some facts..really what did i say that was wrong? I agree there are crappy and nice of ALL cars. I am aware, Me dad and I own a car dealership. Ive driven more cars on here than probably anyone, so i'm not close minded about things, i've owned and driven many mustangs, camaros, corvettes, vipers , i mean you name it we've owned one at some point, anyways all i was saying was STOCK to STOCK from 93 to 2003 camaro's dominated mustangs . i mean sure maybe a GT mustang might be modded more than a z28 but if modded equally or just stock and stock its no race man...the 03 04 supercharged cobra's are WICKED but other than that? for instance compare a bone stock 93-99 mustang GT auto ok....compared to a bone stock 93-99 Z28 auto tell me whats quicker?? No brainer i mean no hard feelings...just my .2

im pretty sure hes right tho....93-97 stock z28 can beat a 93-97 stock GT...... i think ford was going for a more fuel efficent stang back then....

 

FWIW-93's were still 5.0's. They were down 10 hp from 225 to 215 though. My car has a BONE stock never opened up motor, all it has is 3.73's, mufflers and an h-pipe...stock manifolds, etc. It's rock solid and tight as a brand new car and has gone 13.15@102mph on Nitto's. Stock auto ls1's are cake from a dig, but don't let them catch me from a roll, lol!

I didn't say you said anything wrong, I was just stating...too many people are close-minded and bash on mustangs etc., and it gets old. I've had ls1 cars too, my last being a cam/exhaust/bolt-ons T/A. Those cars respond to mods crazy and make awesome power.

Yeah, yeah I've got a Mustang now, but I look forward to posting up progress and checking out the progress of other peoples rides as well!

Bought it from a fella who drove 45 miles each way to work.

 

its no longer as much of a rivalry between stangs n camaros as much as it has turned into import vs domestic.
nothing wrong with owning a mustang nowadays

 

Here are some pics of both cars. Both hit 120+ with only bolt on's. Both can drive like crazy. I have have the vids of both cars going back and forth for the title until sean finally broke his rearend.

Wow, you beat a 4.6 cobra, good for you, they are junk. Sorry, not to burst your bubble, but the Camaro's have not been impressive cars till the 98 model year came out. The LT1 camaros were, and always will be has beens. Anything mustang 94 up sucks *****, and you will not see me defend them, not even the blown 03 up cars. Who ever decided at Ford to put in the 4.6s needs to be slapped in the mouth. good choice for your cousin to trade in for a 99 SS. I wouldnt own one myself unless it were Hugger Orange, but thats only cause I like special cars.

Ragemans car never impressed me. Its pretty sad that you can take a damn nice car, rip it completely apart just to make it fast. that pos never was a good car after that again.

With good reason. As far as I know, the LT1 cars worked over all the stock 4.6L stangs OTHER than the Cobras ... Yea real Has Been ... High 13's stock. Low 13's with under 1000$ in them.

A car that, with the common driver, traps 100 mph. Total junk.

And to the other guy:

Your mustang is either a : More modded than you know about, or b : You beat the **** out of it to run a 13.1 at 102, in perfect weather, at sea level, with excellent track prep. What RPM are you launching at?

I personaly find that hard to believe. I know a kid with a 91 or 92 5.0 with a 5 speed. It has gears, different axles, drag radials, intake, upper and lower, CAI, SFC, some other suspension work, headers, no cats, mufflers, and im sure there are a few other little things I am missing. At any rate, the car is in absoluter pefrect runnign shape and he could only run a 13.4 in good weather, with radials, at 101. So you, with stock manifolds, make a hard to believe story.

And trapping at 102, a stock LT1 would give you a run too. Well, with the radials aside.

Sorry to rant. I just hate trolls that bash on here. You dont see me reminding everone at myfiveohisgay.com about the OTHER kid I know with a full bolt on car AOD that cant break 15's do you. Stop being a immature dick about it.

 

I do not beat the **** out of my car. Infact, I hardly ever drive it, and I think I have been to the track a total of what? 6 times? In umm....4 years? I'm not even going to get into it with you in this whole "argument" you think you have going on.

I guess you're right on the mods though, since I didn't mention the fact that it does have a TB, MAF, Cold Air, and msd box. So, considering it's got stock headers/intake etc, the factory bottlenecks are still there, so it might crack 210rwhp.
