factory freak?

Something doesnt sound right with my car. I raced an ls2 gto and ran head to head with it. I raced a full bolt on 98 Z tonight and ran right even with it and raced a talon pushing 20 pounds of boost and beat it by a half car. The muffler is cut off my car and thats it. The talon supposedly runs low 8's high 7's. And the camaro is pushing about 330 to the wheels. Does this sound like a factory freak camaro or what. also has 97,000 miles

why would I lie.....copied straight off LS1tech
RAGEman ----- 11.568 @ 121.13 (1.71), 01 Camaro Z28 M6, stock, 3.42, 3200, 03/02

sorry about the .02 discrepancy

the car had stock clutch, rear, suspension, etc
The reason it sounds insane is the fact he was the record holder for stock internal M6 car for quite a while

I went 12.8 @ 108 in a Lid only AUTOMATIC, and almost 110 with a catback

hmm u r not making this easy. u went 12.8@108 with lid only, then with C/B 110.
the only mod he has over you is LONGTUBES. so the L/T gave him one full second and 10 mph in the QTR?

EDIT: now if the guy was full bolt on and quite a bit of weight reduction, it sounds reasonable.

Maybe if there was a track that had a 6% downhill grade.

I remember watching a show years ago where a 5.0 stang was running like 2 secs quickers than stock but it was stock also. The guy was gonna have his car in some record book or something but the officials wanted him to disassemble his motor and he did but after he put it back together it ran normal times. Dont criticize the story cuz it was like 6 years ago when i saw it. Hopefully someone here also saw it.
