i raced at 99 trans am tonight and got humilated,, his mods are a 3400 stall, lt headers, hooker catback, tuning, lid, drag radials, cutout, and a pretty decent size cam compared to my car in sig with a 75 shot, we went from about 20 and all i done was spun compared to him hooking on his drag radials, he had me about 4 cars up til around 120mph, he has ran a 12.4@109 with slicks so i figured it would be a good one with me on the 75 shot, but it got ugly

Why be mad about getting beat by a respectable car like that

I just woulda gave him a and it still would have made my day better. I hate races that i dont even have to worry about them getting close in.

 

but i figured it would be a good one where his trap is 109, i think if i had my drag radials on and went from a dig, it would of been a much better race, hes one of my buddys so i wasnt really mad about it

 

Good runs. He probably cuts a mean 60 foot from a dig with that stall and tires. Do you know what gears he is running?

yeah fastz thats what i thought too, but hes switching to a t 56 in the spring , so his traps should go up

 

I think his "109" trap speed is bunk. He was probably saying that to get you to race him. If he has a good size cam as you say, he should be near 115mph trap speed unless his car is out of tune or messed up.

Yes they are major fast with just a cam and bolt ons. I ran one with Longtubes, some bolt ons and a cam and beat him by a fender. I would say we were pretty much dead even.
