maybe an M3 race coming soon

well i have seen this baby blue new M3 in my parking lot at work a few times, and have been next to him a couple times and we both got on it a lil bit, but i finally met him at work and he is a cool guy, says he is stock(found out its leased) and we were talkin about running em, just for fun, what should i expect? my mods are bellow, havent taken it to the track. not to brag but i am a pretty good driver. what should i expect, i wasnt too impressed with it when i saw it on the road as far as on a roll. if i get a decent launch i think i can hang. who knows, anyone have any experience with the newer style M3's

Well if its an E46 model it packs 333 horsepower thats a 48 hp increase over your stock 285hp . Your cat back is not gonnabring enough to the table to deal Unless your hiding something or he flubs it, this M3 will walk you good.

That's not 333 to the wheels though. I've heard they run low 13's out of the factory, but from my experience it seems more like high 13's.

With even drivers, the M3 will still be a little faster than you assuming it's the E46 model as mentioned. They are mid 13 second cars @ 102-103mph. It's still close enough though that the driver will make the difference assuming it's from a dead stop.

Put headers on and you would most likely be even.

To be honest, the M3 has been a little over hyped compared to other cars in it's class in my opinion.

equal drivers, i think the m3 will have the advantage. then again, ive seen m3's at the track (E46s) run low 14's - not alot of the drivers are well versed in the ways of launching... so.. its not like you are out of contention.

Some of them dip into the 12s. More M3s are in the 12s than LS1 F-bodies. Watch out. Need I link the video where the M3 walks the Evo ?

I dont doubt you when you say that some M3's have dipped into the 12's, but I find it **highly** unlikely that more M3's are in the 12's than LS1 f-bodies..... what are you basing this claim on?

The fastest I've seen m3's trap in the mags is 106 mph. That's about dead on with a newer LS1...so I don't know why the m3 would hit 12's any easier.

I raced one ('03 M3 SMG, with AC Schnitzer tuning and exhaust). It was dead even on the beginning, but then I started to pull slowly (really slowly), and won by 1 1/2 car. We race for about 1/5 mile...I am putting 340rwhp, but I spin my tires in first gear...
You will loose and it not going to be even funny...

I have a lightly modded '94 Z28. I tried to race a new M3 and he destroyed me. My brother has a '97 Cobra and tried to race one down the on ramp and got beat too. I'm afraid that M3 is going to tear you a new one.
