Why are 11 second 03/04 owners on here thinking that they are big ****? The 03/04 cobras are the most overrated piles ever.

I don't think the car itself is over rated but the owners are more and more like Corvette owners - Pompous and full of themselves.

Most I have come across are pompus *** holes. There are the exceptions, but its rare. Whats worse than them looking down on GM , they look at other Fords like they are inferior too.

I had this conversation last fall at a cruise in with a 2006 Cobra owner.
From the time I walked up and spoke to him he told me about all he had done and how many magazines are talking to him and how he runs low 11s...blah blah blah. Never once did he say " hey man, whats yours run or any questions about anyones rides" Just his persona and the way he talked to you made me feel like I needed his autograph or something...lol
Here is a video I made of my good friend Steve in his E85 lil 2v stang whipping the tar out of a new cobra at Rockingham. Whats funny is the announcer didnt even show respect, until the end...just listen carefully to the announcers comments throughout the video.

haha, the announcers attitude was a little disrespectfu... that was a sweet vid, nice stang
you're right about the blown cobra owners talking down to other ford owners like vette owners talk down to other GM owners... like cobra is it's own little brand... I can't wait to encounter some of those cobra's this summer once I slap on a 150 shot to compliment the rest of my mods, should put me in the ballpark of 625 at the crank, there aren't TOO MANY modded out cars around here... they won't know what hit 'em

Yep, if your around that hp... you will hurt many feelings of those you encounter. Nice!!!

Also, in case anyone notices...
My friends yellow stang is a GT. It has an 01 Cobra nose on it, but he is still just a lil ole 2 valve.

I listened carefully, but I couldn't understand a word he said, except "10.85" at the end, and the words "left lane" and "right lane" near the beginning.

I guess you'll have to provide a transcript...

Just not finding anything to play with lately.

People aren't bringing their toys out, I'm not driving mine when the weathers bad. Or when I am driving it I spend most of it in traffic.

Hmm, lately I've had an 03 cobra, a Challenger, an ls1 who only sounded like it had exhaust but he was cool about the run - My car feels like such a turd, but there's nothing like a run in with a stock ls1 to make you feel better.

Mostly people that won't play - Baited a 500gt way more than I should have. Not even a bite. Same with a ***** in a z06 with a tag that read something like HPVtte

Basically he states that there is a neat little mustang in the left lane...then looks over and says. Nothin wrong with the one in the right lane either.
at the end, the announcer points out that the cobra ran a 12 something and then he looks over and says. Right lane with a 10.85 (suprised sounding)
Then he says...We must have missed that one Shane.

It was not a total disrespect job, but just the general attitude from most that were there that day, like we were inferior only having 2v GTs.

I haven't posted because I have not had the opportunity to race anything that could stay within five miles of me. I suppose as previously stated no ones bringing out there "toys" right now...

(Not saying i'm super fast just lots of 17 year olds in GTs that think there fast lol)

Nothing wrong with that IMO. The 2v Mustangs have a reputation, much like the 305 F-bodies of the 80s. It's a reputation that has been earned, not unfairly assigned. Since the day they rolled off the same assembly line, the 2v GTs have been inferior to the Cobras, no matter what year.

While it's refreshing to see a quick 2v car, don't think that will stop the stereotype from following it around.

but hey, everyone likes an underdog beating out their expensive competition. There will always be some newer and better, doesnt mean you can't beat em!

Yeah, but the GTs are dogs... The only thing they'll race is another GT or some cute little Rice burner.

this is true, I can take an 1993 LT1 camaro and put a $50 used CAI on it and make a custom exhaust (gutted cats and straight pipes) for another $100 and be dead even with a 2009 Mustang GT

Mustangs can't compete with Camaros
