its also winter, and half the country is in the middle of a nasty storm.

i...on the other hand...am in the land of eternal sunshine, numerous cops, stupid blue-hairs, and one road that ends on an island in the middle of the atlantic

Maybe it's because all the kiddies are back at school. That just leaves the 4.6 crowd who feel that they have to prove themselves and the guys who have to justify spending $40k+ for a pony car.

What's the lyrics to the song in the movie Office Space? "Real Playaz don't have to flex nuts cuz real Playa's know they got 'em."

Atleast they still have a pony car...and a GT is nowhere near 40k and thats a pony car.

I was refering mainly to your Saleen's, Roush's, Shelby GT's and GT500's, as well as fully loaded 2010 Camaros. Cars are getting way too damn expensive these days.

Regardless, the OP was stating how it was getting stagnant around here so I thought I would stir the pot a little.

There is nothing inherently LT1-specific about CamaroZ28.com.

We do have a large community of LT1 owners and experts here, but it's coincidental, not by design.

watch it with the LT1 rips, once I get my new pistons I'll be running some sauce which happens to be very effective on the LT1... so, as noted above, once this snow melts I'll be more than happy to post my C6 Z06 kills, my modded LS2 and LS3 kills, and my 03/04 cobra kills

I think it is, thats why this place is so dead. Most of the LS crowd moved to ls1.com when it was still big and now tech.

I've spoken to Jason about this personally. He hates it when people call this an LT1 site, specifically because he never meant for it to take hold on a particular generation. According to its creator, this site has always been dedicated to all Camaros.

Case in point: You may have noticed, over the years, that the site banner has always displayed the most current Camaro.

Bring it on. That's pretty big talk. Ever think that you could run into a heavily modded Gen III or IV that will blow you off the track?

sure did, my setup with a 150 shot should be enough to get me into high 10's which will be the best I can do until I graduate from college... the ultimate goal is a blown 383 with over 1000hp...or, since LS engines are so cheap anymore, just dropping in a blown 408 LSX for a few extra bucks, haha

EDIT:
But in all honesty, what I'll probably end up doing it building a turbo'd 355 LTX.... spin it to 7k.... hopefully cracking 9's in the quarter while still keeping my top end pretty competitive for highway encounters

basically what I'm saying is, even though the LSX is a better engine than the LTX, they can both get you to the numbers you're looking for.... you just have to go about it a little differently in certain cases
if you want 500HP, 600HP, 700HP, 800HP, 900HP, 1000HP... whatever.... both engines will get you there... and that's because chevy performance is the **** and everyone else might as well bow down

Thats great, good for him...been here since the late 90's and this site has always been more of a LT1 crowd regardless of what he wants or expected, since the popularity of the motor died out so has this site. You cant argue w/ the numbers...I use to live on this site back in college, now w/ the inactivity its not even worth it. Only reason i come here is Mikie's a good guy and the occasional **** talking w/ Tim

You're right that the majority of the member base here are LT1 guys; that in itself doesn't make this an LT1 site though. As I said, it's coincidental. This site really took off right around the same time as the LT1 modification scene took off.
