I think MM&FF got a 13.0, 5.0 mag got a 13.1, and Motor Trend got a 13.2. There's no question about its ability to turn low 13's (5spd). A4's are somewhere in the higher 13's.

In case you're wondering why: here's what i think. If you look at the 01 Cobra's, you'll see that they run about mid 13's on average. They averaged about 270-280rwhp as well. The Mach 1's engine is suppose to have better tq throughout the rpm range (something N/A Cobra lacked), has 3.55 gears, and a live axle instead of the Cobra's IRS. With those changes, low 13's are believable. Not every car need 300+rwhp to hit those times.

Then they are obviously underrated.

Nice times.

lol... so you will believe him and not me.

my first post in this thread quoted mt test times for an m5 and an a4- then i post about the mach 1 making more power everywhere than the 2001 cobra. but you "really don't care" about that even though you should, if you think about it.

RiceEating5.0 post basically the same info i did and it is all good. just curious, but what gives?

I saw average they are a mid 13 second car...

and in Fordss auto and stick is like night and day, I test drove an 01 with exhasut auto, then 5 minutes later an 02 stock 5-speed, the stock 5-speed woudl have raped the auto even with the catback.

I don't understand what leads people to believe that one car with 260HP/302TQ and another (not much different from the first one) with 305HP/320TQ would run the same time.

I'm not picking favorites here.

I believed him because he quoted times from published literature, not just someone saying what they run. I've heard to much BS to believe that.

From what I see the 03 Mach is an 01 Cobra with cold air induction, and a live axle. So if this car is running mid-low 13's....
What does the 03 Cobra run with all it's "upgrades??
I ran an 03 Cobra from the dig, and put 2 cars on him before 90mph and steady pulling away.
Actually I think a stock C5 and the 03 Cobra are a good match.
