Yea, in the new MM&FF they have a bone stock Mach 1 running 13.57 at 102.25 on the stock rubber. And 13.42 at 102.41 on nitto dr's. If that helps at all.

Yea, and i think the Stangs launching on him like that kinda shook him up too.

No man I don't have a link, sorry. That is what I quoted out of the mag. I bought yesterday. I looked on their website and couldn't find it. You might have better luck though if you look.

A little off topic. What do you think an average driver would get out of a new mach 1? Dont the guys a MM&FF just beat those cars down that is why they get those times? I am asking because someone I know (he used to have a z28) just got a brand new Mach 1 and he wants to race. I was wondering if my set-up now with cai, 3.73's, 2400 stall, and nitto dr's if I could take him. Sorry for stealling the post. I will make it quick.

I have raced a few Mach 1's ........in the eigth mile.......they run better than the Cobra's. Bone stock ones with nittos will run 8.4's to 8.5's all day long. With the good driver mod. These cars are very impressive........don't sell them sort.

I would not use the easy word. I have seen two stock Mach 1's (They had a cat back) on slicks........both ran 8.1's........Thats 12's in the quarter. I'm telling you guys........this is not your typical Mustang. These cars are bad ***. They weigh more and have only 281 ci. That is impressive. With some mods........mid 12's would be no problem.

So you are saying ford put a s/c on it to make it run 12's and only had to put a cat-back and nitto's on it? Man, do they look dumb. (I think the Mach 1 and the Cobra have the same engine if not then just dont pay attention to me)

youre correct.except in this case an ls1 is modded and a mach is stock.=easy win for an ls1 if driven properly.

ls1s are bad *** too.

I didn't know that Ford was putting cat-backs and slicks on the Mach I from the factory now...

It seems that some people like to stretch the concept of stock. I have a lid and a muffler and I'm told I'm stock, but I'm not. If you removed a factory part and installed something better, you're not stock.

funny how the definition of stock is to many people.

its simple really.anything altered from how it left the showroom to enhance performance in anyway makes this vehicle no longer stock.

there are exceptions such as dealer or manufacturer upgrades offered after a vehicle leaves the factory.

True...nearly or virtually stock is better . But indeed not stock .
