Can i beat a fully loaded stock mach 1 5speed, i got a SLP lid and loud mouth with new good year f1's, 6 speed. can i take him, my car has 27k miles im also a hardtop. Im pretty sure i can, like positive but i want some opinions, thanks.

 

From what I've heard it's basically a Cobra without the whole s/c deal with it, so you should be able to walk him.

Thry run pretty similar times to a well driven 6spd LS1, but trap less, it should be a drivers race

 

Yup ls1's run a little faster and you have a lid and loud mouth. So as long as you don't spin bad you should walk him IMO.

 

It's a driver race.

mods: k&n filter, smooth bellows, Flows, Gutted Cats, SPEC Stage 3 Clutch Kit

Stock for stock with killer drivers, the LS1 has a slight advantage in e.t. and trap speed over the Mach 1. On the order of about 2 or 3 tenths and 2 or 3 mph. With the mods on the LS1 and the Mach being stock I say the LS1 will win if both drivers are equal.

 

whoever launches better will win. if you guys launch the same, you will win.

 

if you can drive youll win easily.with your mods and an m6 you have too much power for him to overcome.

 

I put my money on the camaro...but some of those Mach 1's are screamers...I know a guy who ran like low 13's@106 stock...bone stock...but also heard others run high 13's @101....

 

we are gonna roll from a random speed. we both work at the ford dealership, i have driven many mach 1's i just feel my car is alot faster but hey maybe im wrong, oh yea tonight im getting my TB bypass and descreening my MAF to.

 

I just got back from the track and was talking to a guy who was running a 5 spd. Mach I there. He had a Magnaflow catback, K & N, and I believe a CAI and he was doing 13.2-3s at 103-4.

 

yeah, but it looked like that T/A driver was horrible. Look how every stang jumped way out in front at the kick and then the T/A kept right with him or even gained ground.

 

woooweee. Those Stangs laid the smackdown that night. The TA needs a couple driving lessons. ALthough those Stangs sure do launch alot better than the Fbodies.

 

Yea, I want to race that ls1 in my car from a stop. The way he was driving I might be able to say I beat an ls1. That was the worst driving I have ever seen. Such a waste of a nice car. Unless he was just learning
