means nothing to me. But for everyone else i probably couldve went into a little more detail. his car is a 100% stock 6-speed coupe. My "20's" are coming off but i gotta find some pea shooters. Well thanks for the tips guys, im going to take out my stero equipment also.
p.s.
it wasnt the drink that made seal the bet. It was this guys mouth, so im going to have to shut him up
. We're trying to get 2 cameras for footage so i'll give update on the race in two weeks (when his car is getting shipped over here). Peace.....
Re: any lt1 beat a g35?
I still doubt you'll have much of a problem. There's a couple members on here with G35s and the best i've seen them run is 14.5s at less than 96mph. One i recall was a 6-speed and even he was still in the 14.5 range. They have a good peak hp number.... but they don't have near the torque curve the LT1 has. I'll take more area under the hp curve over a higher peak hp any day of the week. And twice on sunday.
Someone else mentioned a good point.... make sure your car is healthy. If you haven't changed plugs/wires, fuel filter, or air filter in a long time, do those first then go out and practice your launch. If she's in tip top shape you should be looking at 14 flats or even high 13s, which should give you a comfortable margin to walk away with the win.

It refers to the GN, which was my only car (besides the truck i had at the time, which was later traded for the Z28) when i registered here. A lot of my friends USED to pick at me for driving a grandma's car... yes they were referring to the GN... and called it a rebadged cadillac. But some rides in it even when stock changed their perception
. A few "upgrades" and 25psi later they digressed from that name and called it a "Fast Caddie". So the name stuck. Stage 2 build-up with a T-88 Q-trim is in the works...

I raced a g35 sedan a while back. I never even thought twice when he pulled up next to me at the light. then he hailed it off the line. I got stuck playing catch up but managed to pass him before 60ish MPH. the coupe will be faster as everyone says. i think if you drive good you should take him!! good luck.

I would make sure your car is tuned up and running well. Practicing on the road ahead of time is a good suggestion too. You might want to get a CAI to give your car a little more power. Removing all your extra weight from the car is another good suggestion too.
