Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

Unless he is hiding a Viper engine or Supercharger in there he's full of bull-pucky, whoop his *** infront of his girl and make fun of him severely afterwards. I cant stand these Hemi idiots anymore, they all need put in their place. Er, what else can we put the Hemi into? ...Truck, SUV, 4 door sedan, Gay Stationwagon that we try to make cool and fast, errr, how about a Minivan so you can run 13's to and from soccer practice

Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

345 hp with a curb weight of around 4800 lbs is not going to cut it.

Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

These Hemi guys crack me up.

For a truck, it's pretty quick. I ran a Rumble Bee quad cab shortbed at the track and just flat out destroyed him. He says he ran a 15.5 though, which is pretty good for a 5,000 lb. truck.

Anyway, go show the moron where he stands on the speed food chain.

And tell him not to break his tranny when he races you.

Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

Well the new trucks aren't running the same POS trannies anymore so that won't happen. A rumble bee has a chip a catback and an intake on it so it will make more power then your car but the weight will hurt it. He'll give you a race if he get traction.

Even if all the factory mods are good for an additional 50 horsepower(and that's being VERY optomistic), there is no way in hell that a 5000 pound truck with maybe 300 HP at the wheels is going to outrun ANY LT-1 F-body. I'm not saying that they're not fun/fairly quick trucks, but there's only so much torque available from 350 cubic inches. Hell, I used to think that my buddy's Dakota 5.9 R/T was fast until I actually raced him. Even if you do completely blow the launch I can guarantee you that you'll be flying past his happy *** by 60 MPH.

Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

I agree you will not lose that race. I raced one in my t/a that had all sorts of mods including a 125hp shot that he forgot to mention and still won bad.

Re: Dodge Rumble Bee

I would say that you have a HUGE weight advantage. 5000 pounds minus 3500 pounds equals a 1500 pound weight difference. That's about 1.5 seconds in the quarter right there, plus your car has far superior aerodynamics, a more efficient drivetrain, etc..... You will beat his *** like a red-headed step-child! Bet him every cent you can beg, borrow, or steal!

It ain't a real Hemi dude, just a wannabe LS1 that Dodge concocted and they call it "Hemi" so people start taking their products seriously.

It is a Hemi .
A Hemi is basically an engine with hemispherical heads.
The new Hemi engine has that traditional head desighn that makes ti a Hemi .
Only different is the new ones have 2 spark plugs per cylinder . So they fire better " Better emissions "
Might wanna check your facts next time Before ya go Knocking the Hemi...Its not a wannabe engine . Although one reason they brought it back was its reputation " Marketing " it still puts down plenty of numbers per cube to hold its own as it has 345HP as a 5.7 liter .It is plenty pwerfule enough to earn my respect.
Only thing they need now is to put it in a sports car that cost..say....26k new and we will be good to go .
