And yes my LS1 would beat your LT1 but you brought that one up. I could hit mid 11's without much of a problem in my LS1 but i havent launched it hard yet. Im waiting for the 9 inch. Thats my NA LS1 with a cam and headers vs your LT1 with 125+ shot of NOS I still managed to pull the same 1/4 mile time and trap 5 MPH higher then you with only a 1.78 60 ft time...hmm..Wonder if my car is faster?

I have owned 4 LT1's and am a current owner of a 97 TA,Love my LT1. ALso own a LS1 and hate to tell you people this but there is no comparison. My buddies stock 98 LS1 auto makes my 97 feel slow and I have a hp3 tune,cai and airfoil. His car is stock. When I bought the 99 I had a 95 Camaro Z28 M6 with headers,gears.clutch,tune and my stock LS1 pulled badly from a roll. I sold it to a friend of mine and we took them both to the track after I put a lid and a Catback on the LS1 I raced the camaro.From a roll@10 mph I demolished him. At the track I was on street tires and he was on slicks. He pulled a 1.9 60 and I pulled a 2.4. I ran a 13.1@109 Vs his 13.0@105. Even though he waxed me off the line because of his slicks and gears I caught him so fast after recovering from a tire demolishing it wasnt even funny.
I did however beat a few LS1's in the LT1. One was a 01 SS and I know his car was faster then mine. It was on the interstate where LS1's pretty much rule but the Z beat him badly. Im realistic so I know for a fact it was me not the car. Thats what most of you people dont realise who have never owned anything but an LT1.
My 99 running thrue stock cats with just a few small bolt ons was faster then the majority of the cammed LT1's in my area. Owning is beleiving.
Dont take this the wrong way I love the LT1 and I have big plans for mine but Im a realist.

^ do you have roller rockers and an electric water pump? Do you have a m6? If you answer no to any one of those, then you probably do not have 300rwhp...

Robb ~ Let me start with one simple fact. A bolt on LT1 CAN reach stock LS1 RWHP levels. You are comparing apples to oranges. You had a LT1 with a CAI, HPP3, and airfoil. You were probably making about 10-15 more RWHP than stock. With those mods I still wouldnt look at a LS1 car. Now, look at a correctly modified bolt on LT1 car. Throw long tubes, ORY, and a catback on there and your picking up an easy 20, maybe even 25 RWHP. Good valve springs and 1.6 RR's ... Again, another 5-10 RWHP. My car is probably making at least 20 more horse power than yours was when you "got smashed" by that LS1 car.
You car was in now way making more than 15 more at the wheels than stock. A HPP3 is good for next to nothing. Airfoil, next to nothing. And a CAI ... Maybe 10 at the wheels?
When you went to the rack and had a ****ty 60 but ran the same time, and out MPH'd him by 5 mph, that shows a few things. One, you botched the launch. Your extra wheelspin off the line could attribute to a higher than average trap speed. And I know you were spinning because there is no way your bogging a stock LS1, pulling that bad of a 60, and still going to trap at 110mph. Dead hooking off the line usually can cut a mph or more off your final trap speed. Your friend had a decent 60', and likewise, would probably have had a mph slower trap speed. Having some (Not excessive) wheel spin can give you a little higher trap speed.
Bird Man ~ You do have a point. Your not hitting 300RWHP with a A4 and bolt ons. And if its a M6 you pretty much do need either an EWP or RR's to throw you up there past 300 with other normal bolt ons. Say like CAI, Long Tubes, !Cats, Catback, etc.

There is a diffrence of owning cars and knowing what to to do with them
But again lets be real right its an ls1....there gods gift to racing... I have owned supras to go carts you can have 800 horsepower supra and still trap low 12s but again its what you can do with the car. Its called the right combo, my car with the original opti and wires and still trapping 105 and had a stock clutch. Now I have not raced it with all new ignition and rockers on the car and stage 4 clutch. It has already been done. GM magazine didnt a all bolt on lt1 trap 11s in the quarter all boltons with 410s auto. You can basically do anything you want with a car as long as you know what your doing. And yes for your dum *** question I dynoed 448 with 530 tq on a wet shot, and its still needs tuning. Yes ls1 stock are quick but when you start modding its a whole diffrent story.

And im not sure what the payload is on a lightning but it is about usless as far as being a truck.

I have concluded you are ignorant. Both My LS1's trapped higher then 105 stock. 100% bone stock. Your wrambling has nothing to do with anything.
A whole different story once you start modding? You dumbass that can be said for anything and what exactly are you saying? Do LT1's respond better to mods? do they respond just as good? The answer is no.

Look at my sig. I do research before I test any combos at all and unlike others I dont assume anything until I have tested or seen results from myself and others.
Apparently I am doing something right If I can get a mildly cammed LS1 with 3:73's and an m6 to easily run 11's with a mail order tune.
Your problem is you take reality as an insult. I have nothing to gain from reality except trying to explain and argue with someone who has never owned anything but an LT1.
Once again I have nothing to gain from arguing. I own an LT1 and I have owned many LT1's. I have been modding on them since their inception in 93and not just my own but My friends..friends of friends and so forth. Its not like I have never seen a modded LT1 and its not like I am bashing them.

As far as HP# I disagree. I drove the car before and after it and I felt a small difference.
Dont patranize me. I didnt boch the launch. What it shows is that I have more HP. And you dont know I was spinning. Was you there? Watch the video in link. Wasnt spinning there either. As a matter of fact I never trap less then 117 no matter how ****ty the launch or how little I spin.Only time I trap less is when I shift slow. Ran the car last week and nursed it off the line to avoid spin and still trapped 117 with a 2.3 60. Dont need your theroy I drive the car and have been doing this for years.

ohh good come back its called the right combo your a moron I trapped that with a stock clutch and as far as your ls1 trapping 105 stock all i had was a catback dumass. yea you sure love your lt1 but you bash on them. We are talking about ls1 lt1 when doing the right combo LIKE I SAID BEFORE it can beat what ever you want. Bring your godly ls1 or ls2 or whatever I bet you money I will kick your *** with my 240sx first then some more with the slow lt1 then i will spray on you just to make you look more godly with your ls1..
