94Z28 vs 04 R32 vs 99+ GT

First I ran 2004 Volkswagen Golf R32 from 2 rolls. The first roll I went from about 40 and i pulled a half carlenght on him to 110. The next roll we went from about 40 or so again and he puled a half carlength on me to 110. The cars were very evenly matched. The only mod it has is intake..it ran a 13.6@99mph w/1.78 60' at the track that night. He had no passengers, and i had a 250 lb passenger. The next was a 99+ Red Mustang GT. We both goosed it a little before aproaching a red light. When the light went green we both launched out of the hole the same with some spin, and stayed side by side till 105 by 115 he had a few feet on me. The mustang guy was really cool we exhanged thumbs up...i had a 175 lb passenger and a 250 lb passenger in my car, he had nobody. I am not sure about his mods, his exhaust was louder then stock, and he was a 5 speed, that was all i could tell. Both of these were the closest races i have had.

What is a Volkswagen Golf R32? What motor? What hp? Awd? Sounds pretty quick.

Its got a 3.2 liter motor and 240 some hp. Its weighs like 3200 or 3300lbs, and has AWD. Its a quick car! That 60'ft is what gets it down the track in a hurry though.

nah no turbo from the factory, basically a juiced up VR6 engine with awd and a 6-speed tranny. Raced one a few weeks ago and totally annihilated it....he asked if i was supercharged since my intake makes a loud hiss sound at idle. Quick car though but pretty expensive, i think they are around 30k.

Re: 94Z28 vs 04 R32 vs 99+ GT

yea it was my first little trial of my power increase. I was very very happy about it. I didnt even rev it past 5500 in a couple gears and he was getting pulled hard. Only embarassing part was when we caught a light, his bud had a camera and wanted to race off the stop. I wasnt really worried about him out launching me since I knew i would just come roaring by him after i was off. So i said sure without much worry, revved my car to around 1700 or so, not really trying to go nuts....light turns green and i let the clutch out and proceed to feed in throttle quickly, all i am met with is him blasting off and my rpms soaring. yes my clutch had slipped horribly. he prob thought i spun hard off the line, but least he got a kill on his camera. Oh well, spec stage 3 went on order a couple days after that happened. Poor poor stock clutch, it did its best but just cant do it anymore.
