94 lt1 vs Evo

i have a 94 lt1 w/ 6 speed. It has SLP loudmouth, BBk throttle body, rr's, oil coolers, and I may have SLP cold air intake before the race.
Do you guys think I have a chance agains an Evo?
My car is in decent shape, maintained w/ new fuzion zri's, new optispark, new ignition module, new plugs....

If I lose, by how much do you guys think it will be? has anyone ever raced one before w/ an lt1?

Re: 94 lt1 vs Evo

if the evo is stock you should have a good race, but if he really has any power mods...which these cars don't need much to run very quick, then your in for a loss. Many new Evo owners don't know how to drive the car properly. The awd cars need some seat time to get the launch right without bogging. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Re: 94 lt1 vs Evo

your gona get clobbered out of the hole, you should pull on him near the top of first and all of second, then in 3rd when the lt1 starts to fall off it will prolly get pretty even since his turbo is gona be pullen pretty hard then. Depends on how well the kid can launch/drive the evo.
