So...now we are only supposed to look at tracks that are near sea level and cool weather?? Unforunately, that's not how it works. There are NHRA sanctioned tracks all over the country in very diverse climates. It's not hot here during the winter. It's generally high 40s - low 50s in the evening this time of year with low humidity and fairly high pressure. If my car traps 111.5 in these condidions, it must trap what, 115 where you live (using your theory)? Or are only LS1 cars affected by the weather? I destroy stock LS1s from a dig, from a roll...doesn't matter. But...they are racing me in Arizona, so that makes sense..right? Give it a rest.
Here is the problem with your argument. It works for you but also against you. Yes there are tracks and climates that will make all the cars look slow. I have read a few times from people in Denver that LS1's run mid 14's and trap 98ish. Does that mean that all LS1's at all tracks run those times? Of course not but you yourself have pointed that out.

Just as you have stated that you see numerous LS1's trap 99-102 I have seen them trap 102-106. But that alone means little as well because they could trap lower or higher on any givin day if you change the climate and or track they run at. Does a stock LS1 trap 99? Yes. Does a stock LS1 trap 106? Yes. Does a stock LS1 trap inbetween 99 and 106? Yes.

Who cares? And how many people on this site keep thier cars stock? So you have destroyed stock LS1's. So what? Your supposed to with the mods you have. That's like me saying I destroyed a stock Honda Civic or beat a stock LT1. So what? I should beat those cars just as you should beat me.

But watch out. Not all LS1's are as stock as you might like them to be. Give them big stalls, LT's, heads, cams, n20, ect and they become a force to be reckoned with. But again, who cares? Put enough $$$ in any car and it could be a force to be reckened with.

I just can't stand all the LS1 bashing some LT1 guys do. We should not be fighting each other while there is a whole lotta imports or even mustangs we can argue with. I respect your car bowtie because it's American, it's fast and it's cool looking (IMO). Why do you hate mine?

I'm not bashing LS1s at all...you are missing my point. I love LS1 cars...LS1s are a great motor. Antz was suggesting that all LS1s only run what they do out here because it's hot etc.....but on that same token, my car would also be down what, 4-7 mph using his theory? I know there are LS1s that trap 107-108 bone stock...I've seen it, even out here. I saw a bone stock Z28 run a 12.9 @ 107...car was bone *** stock. I have also seen then run 14.2 @ 100 over and over again...just like I have seen stock LT1s trap 102 bone stock and trap as low as 92. My whole argument was geared towards Antz because he always takes the most extreme case and tries to make it the norm. I wasn't bashing LS1s in any way.

I wasn't saying, "Oh, look at me...look at me!! I can beat stock LS1s." I was simply stressing my point that if all stock LS1s trapped 108-109, they would give me a decent run...but they don't, and that's why I generally pull stock LS1s hard.
