nice kill on the poor z06 driver, though. i hope he doesn't race a 350z or srt-4 anytime soon, or the ls1/ls6 boards may never hear the end of it.
The A4 3:23 gears are pretty low gears. My buddy has an A4 with 3:23 and my 3:73 are much better. You notice a big difference in the pull.

He then gets behind me and begins to ride my ***. I began to accelerate in 6th....then dropped into 4th...I began to pull. We jumped on the 290, which is a 3-lane highway.....we were side by side, he looks over and pulls slightly....we were going 75mph. I dropped it from 6th to 4th, nailed it to the floor and pulled to 130mph....the z06 was 4+ car leghts behind me. All the mods and $$$ I spent made it worth while...

Strong running car I have 410s and i raced one to recently Funny nobody is ragging on you like STEVE Y ... SAYIN THE SAME THING TO ME THATS BS THERE 3100 POUNND AND 350 HORSES BUT OF COURSE ITS AN LS6 THEY ARE THE ULTIMATE ENGINE.. but anyways GOOD KILL......

Keep buying mods, cuz you aint there yet. No offense, but ZO6's trap 88-90mph stock in the 1/8th. He probably just raced in 5th. Even if it was a regular C5 vette with ZO6 badging, you wouldnt walk one by 4 lengths with your mods/trap speed. Also, he should have dropped to 3rd gear, as well as you should have too. You both were in the wrong gear, him probably just worse off than you.

Racing always has he should have, would, have etc.....hey man....I am not saying that my car is faster here....no kidding the Z06 is faster...duhhhh....if I were driving the vette, I am sure the guy in the f-body would have no chance....OBVIOUSLY the vette is faster....but the driver OBVIOUSLY was inexperienced here. However.....I am still giving my self credit on this one...like it or not.

Now I'm a firehawk lover and I have a 02 formula firehawk but after reading your sig and your story my bet is the Z06 let you go on your own. Most vet guys are older and don't really want to race, I know. I challenge them all the time. Do you see old farts in vets race or post their kills? No! Most young guys only dream of owning Z06's. Good kill anyways.

Hawk - very clean car you have there.

However, you don't have 330 rwhp unless your sig is missing something....probably more like 290-295 rwhp.

Antz...you crack me up. I wish you could come out to the local tracks here and watch the NUMEROUS LS1 cars trap 99-102 mph..time, and time again.

Not all similiar cars pull the same times/mph around the USA.
Alot of variables here!

yeah, and that is exactly why i want to know what the lt1's are trapping in his area, too. if stockish ls1's are trapping 99-102 then lt1's are prolly trapping low-mid 90's. unless gilbert, az is the location to some kind of weird power-robbing vortex that only affects ls1's.

Around here, Philly the local track is Atco. Bone Stock LS-1s run 13.5-13.8 @ 102-106. Bone stock LT-1s run 13.8-14.3 @ 95-102. Now there are some that will be faster and some that will be slower. I personally saw a stock 02 Camaro SS 6 speed run 13flat at 108 mph and he said he was totally stock down to the original air filter. Unless you disect the person's car; you pretty much have to take their word on it. If it was true then great but if he's lying then oh well, his car still ran what it ran.
Bolt-on LS-1s are flying around here, mid 12s are the norm for them. Then they get all cocky when the spray goes on and they are knocking on the 10 second door with a stock motor (persay!)
:eek!:

So you just never know.

I would expect slower numbers from similiar cars in high altitude areas like Denver or Utah, etc.... A stock LS-1 in Denver MIGHT dip into the 13s but don't forget....all other cars are slowed up just the same.

If you want to know what different cars are running in YOUR area...just go to the track and watch them. DON"T ask somebody what they ran; look at the board and see for yourself. Cause anyone can lie!

It was clear to me that everyone including hawk350 admits that the kill was against the driver and not the car. That is the difference. When you posted a kill it was clear you didn't beat the car either but you insisted that you did even when all logic pointed the other way.

Hawk350 seems to understand that car vs car he didn't/couldn't beat a Z06. But he did beat the driver who clearly didn't understand what gear he should have downshifted into for that race.

So Zeus the bottom line is that Hawk350 is realistic and you are not.

BTW Hawk, Nice driver kill. I too am curious on how you could get 330 RWHP from a LT1 with midlength headers and a couple other small bolt-ons. Do you have more mods then what is in your sig?

Stock LT1s generally trap 96-99 here. There is obviously going to be some varialbility in what the cars will trap here. My car trapped 98.5 bone stock. I'm not saying all LS1s trap 99-102 here...but MANY of them do. I'm not making that up because I don't like LSX cars...I love LSX cars. I'm just telling you how it is...whether it's the same at your local tracks, I can't say. I know a guy with a 2002 TA...auto, 3.23s...bone stock. Ran a 13.9 @ 101-102 the other night. Leaving the car in drive and cutting 2.1 60'. That's simply all the car would do. I have also seen, believe it or not, stock C5s trap 101-103 all night long as well. It happens. Hopefully some more AZ guys will chime in here cause we all see the same thing.

I know I'd be pissed if I had a LS1 car trapping 101...I'd drive it off a cliff.
