So I was coming from the mall this afternoon. I noticed a red Cobra tailing me the whole way back. I had my wife and two daughters in the car with me, so I was not about to hit high mph range on the freeway, so I exited. I came up to the stop light, rolled down my window and asked if his was modded. He says no, "It's stock" with a cocky face. So I said lets go. As the light turned green we both nailed it. My tires kept spinning through first and second, the funny thing is, as I was spinning I was still about a bumper ahead. I had my windows rolled down and was laughing because the drivers expression was like damn, he is spinning and still along side of me, lol. Finally the MARO grabbed and I was GONE!!! As I passed him I was yelling out "CHEVY, CHEVY"! Slow a** Cobra. Oh yea, his passenger had his arm resting on the door, by the time I embarresed them his face was like , with his arm back in the cockpit. I pulled up to him at the next light and asked him if he was spinning as well, he said no. His excuse was I have a smaller engine and that mine did not sound stock! My question is, How much HP does a stock (so he says) Cobra have?

You are married with kids and yelling out of a window at a bunch of kids???? Good kill....I guess. I think the '94 (non mod motor) cobra was rated at 300hp at the crank. No match for most LT1's or all LS1's if the cobra is stock. What did you run them in....an LS1??? Just a guess

thats weak if it was stock. Only came with 240 horses from the factory.
Good kill though, Mustang driver's are cocky!! 0-60 in 6.5 sec.

 

sn cobras are are rated at 240 hp 5.0...generally a high 14 second car...I killed one really bad in my basically stock 97 LT1 a few years back.

well my dad went to the gm dealer, and the manager told him that the camaro would be reborn in 07-08 with the new Ls6 engine.

 

Yea I was just reading that article 450 hp ...why would the new camaro (wasnt even aware a new one was comming out til atleast 07 ) come out w/ a LS6 (have no clue where you got your info. from), if anything it would be the LS2...LS6 is considered old technology now.

 

Just imagine.....The lightning motor w/ 4 valve set up stuffed into a car that is about 2000 lbs lighter . Cannot wait till my mod motor builder gets his 4 valve intake made for his Lightning...I WILL BE NEXT!!!!!
