That makes stock LS1's faster then stock GT's.

Muhahahahahahaha

But slower then ones with blowers.

Doh!

But faster when LS1 adds a torque converter and N20 or 4.10 gears and N20

Muhahahahahahaha

But slower when the 10 bolt snaps in half or the 4l60E breaks

Doh!

But faster when they replace with 12 bolt and ET streets

Muhahahahahahaha

Hmm this is actually kind of stupid. Don't mind me, I had too much caffiene this morning and too little sleep last night.

Not all blown 99+ GTs are going to whoop a stock LS1 (read my story again :P). Let's look at your car. You ran a 14.0 at sea level. I ran a 13.4 @ 106 in my bone stock SS in 4500' DA. I'd venture to say your GT would run a 14.2-14.4 @ 97-99 as do most other newer GTs here. I'd have no problem running you with 6 lbs. of boost...it would be a good race I'm sure. The 99+ GTs are starting with 80-90 hp less than LS1 cars. A stock 99+ GT doesn't stand a chance against a LS1, and a blown GT should be able to edge a bone stock LS1 out...but it doesn't always work out that way.

Hmmm.... I think my exact words were:

4.6 SOHC and blower = Slow.
2000 SOHC in a 98 GT = real slow

As in I was poking fun at Tim. If you couldn't tell, look at the "2000 SOHC in a 98 GT" part.

Now if you really want to debate this, what does a stock 99 Saleen S281 run? How about a 99+ GT with a supercharger as its only mod? You would be surprised.

Well, according to the Kenne Bell web site, 6 lbs would give a later model GT 366 hp @ the crank, which, I would say is a more than an LS1 puts out, but not much.

Add the fact that it wasn't necessarily the top of the line supercharger, may not have had any good tuning, and the driver may not have been the most capable...

Completely believable to me.

This thread is almost as bad as the LT1 beats LS1 threads...

Yes it is possible. Will it happen that way every time? Probably not. Do we know enough to make a positive conclusion about who's car was really faster? No.

And if us Camaro folks want to poke a little fun at Mustangs, well... it's always been like that. Not to mention that the f-bodies are by themselves- even a lot of Vette owners look down on our cars. I won't even go into what some Ford or especially import car owners say about Camaros...

I have respect for Mustangs, but I'll be damned if I can't do a little Mustang-bashing when I make cracks on my own car darn near everyday.

Let's see here: Interior looks like crap, salad shooter rims, the dash is almost as big as the hood, and god forbid, the opticrap.

I will throw my two pennys in here.

(side note) First one who flames me will make me drive cross country to kick your ***...

No seriously...

I ran my buds SCed Saleen before my heads and cam and held right with him from a roll on 3 runs.
Keep in mind that it was an S289 with a 6lb roots blower.
His best time in the 1/8th was 8.54 @ 84 mph so I knew I had a shot.

Now with that said...
That was a 6lb, what if the blower on the car was a 9 lb with proper tune? LS1 is in trouble.

Just my opinion.
