I'm not sure ~300lbs. of extra weight is what's responsible for the pretty crummy fuel economy they get.
In fact, it's significantly more than the percentage weight difference between the two.

Sure it is. Any added weight could make MPG suffer.

Yes I know we have crappy power window motors and platic interior's, as opposed to the fine Corinthian Leather that is in ALL Fords.

Maybe it isn't entirely the reason, but I doubt the mileage difference between the two has anything to do with the rear end ratios of either cars; they are way too similar.

Maybe you should pull your head out of your @ss long enough to realize I said nothing in defense or support of Ford.
The GTO and old F-bodies have similar final drive ratios.
