nope...not an 02. Sounds like it, but i've talked w/ the kid and i have seen under his hood and saw the supercharger. So that rules out any 02's

Two different LS1s.

Add the fact that there were very, very few '02 Cobras and they all went to Australia.

Either, the driver of the Cobra couldn't drive or something is wrong with the car. I can see a really strong stock A4 LS1 beating an average stock '03-'04 Cobra with an average driver at the track...but not from a roll.

There were no '02 Cobras produced, here or anywhere else.

Not according to this:

Officially, there were no 2002 Cobras produced in the US, but Ford's sales data shows 100 4-valve Cobras shipped to Australia as a special export batch in early '02. SVT has stated that they do not count these numbers in their totals but they were labeled as 2002 Models from Ford. These cars were exactly the same as the '01's except were made especially for Australia's standards (right hand drive, extra lights, etc.).

I'm guessing that they were left over '01 models as Ford would not have made 100 '02's for export. Still no official '02 Cobra was made.

Sound's like it could be the driver . I've been to the track with my brother who owns a Ls1 and seen him run low 14's then I drive the exact same car and run mid 13's .

There is no accounting for a bad driver. I've put 9 passes on my car in two trips to the track. Even with the TC on, it ran a 13.2@109mph hot off a 60 mile drive to the track, no cooldown, full weight, bone stock, stock F1's.

Not all Cobras have wheelhop issues. It depends on the car, the driver and the conditions.

Why is it going to "walk an A4"???

Your own sig answers your question.
You've got a lid and exhaust and are still 3/10ths and 6mph slower than my bone stock '03...which went 12.6@112mph. IMO, I'll get 12.4-12.5's out of it in cooler air, still stock. Add a CAI and catback and I'd see low-12's.
So...yeah...a well driven, bone stock '03/'04 Cobra is going to walk a bone stock A4 LS1 F-body.
Driver error or skill can change the outcome.

Because out of the box, the M6 LS1's are a tick or two faster than a A4. Put a convertor and few well chosen bolt-ons in an A4 car, and they can be pretty quick and efficient.
In my experience, a well-driven '03/'04 Cobra will "walk" an M6 LS1 too.
