95 Z28 vs Nissan 200SX

I have raced this guy before and left him but today was different

I am behind him at the start of a dual carriageway with a 70mph speed limit.

Nissan is in the outside lane as we leave the roundabout to join the carriageway. He boots it and I floor the Z28, I am behind him so I switch to the inside lane and overtake him, I go past and then to add insult to injury I then move over and take his lane and go up to about 90 mph and out 60 yards on him.

Well and truly shut him down!

I hope you mean a 300ZX, not a 200SX. Those 200s are dogs.

No man definatley a 200sx they are quite a fast car and they do a turbo version as well, I tell you man I was had it nailed to go past him from 20 mph to about 90 mph.

I've raced him 3 times and it's 3-0 to the Z28

So I no he's up for it!

My Z is spot on it's running as good as it's ever run.

I did a Porche 944 last weekend I left him standing from the lights and again I put 60 yards on him to 90 mph

Don't forget, we never had a turbo 200sx over here (the only turbo nissan the US got was the TT 300zx). So anytime you say 200sx, ppl here automatically think "Slow piece of doo doo".

Yeh I tend to forget we don't all get the same models, this had to of been a turbo they are 197hp a bit lighter 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and 15 second 1/4 mile.

That would explain how I was able to overtake him and leave him from 20mph.

My Z28 has run 14.2 1/4 mile I have done a few mods since then and it feels quicker I think a high 13 would be about right now.

I gonna take it back to the drag strip at the end of July.
I am racing my Nova mostly because a coulpe of the meets I go to are pre 1969 cars only next one is 3/4th July.

I am looking to hit 12.5 with the Nova next time out, best so far is 12.76 but I should have run 12.6 cause I lost .10 on my 60 foot time. I have a Edelbrock pro flo 3500 MPFI system and I have just got the controller module working again so I can try some different fuel and spark settings

Only in the rear view mirror.

One tried but the Z28 ate it alive! It's like being pestered by flys

The Nissan 200sx turbo was faster
